Primrose and Blue day

21st April 2016
The children in year 3 have been offered a fantastic opportunity, they have been asked to represent all of the Warrington Schools in a Tag Rugby match. This will be held at St James's Park, Newcastle on Saturday 21st May. Rugby enthusiasts will know that this is called 'Magic Weekend' and takes place every year. All of the Super League teams travel to the same stadium and play a round of games over the weekend.
The Year 3's have been chosen to play on the pitch at half time during the Warrington Wolves V Castleford Tigers match. They will play a few mini games against other participating schools from around the country.
Thank you to everyone who donated money to come in to school dressed in Primrose and Blue; had a photograph with Wolfie; bought a raffle ticket. We have raised a lot of money to help with the cost of transport to send the Year 3 children to Newcastle.
On Friday afternoon, Shaun Briscoe (Warrington Wolves Foundation) led our assembly. He talked about the Year 3's playing tag rugby but more importantly brought with him a special guest, Wolfie.
The children were all very excited and had to shout very loudly for him to appear. Eventually, when he did the children were traeted to some fantastic dance skills. Wolfie was also a little bit cheeky, tapping Mrs Smith on the shoulder, whilst she was talking and then hiding. Wolfie also presented 2 of the best dressed children with a prize.
Wolfie then posed for a lot of photos with many excitable children.
We'd like to say thank you to Wolfie, Shaun Briscoe, Lee Mitchell and Will Maudsley from Warrington Wolves Foundation.
