SIAMS Inspection report

17th February 2017
Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools.
As a Church of England School, we are subject to a SIAMS inspection as well as an Ofsted Inspection. The SIAMS inspection takes place every 5 years. All Church of England dioceses and the Methodist Church use the National Society's framework for the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) under section 48 of the Education Act 2005. In February 2017, our school was graded as Outstanding. Key points from the report are outlined below:
  • A strong team of whole-hearted and skilful Christian Leaders enable the whole community to live peacefully and purposefully by putting Gospel Values at its heart.
  • Creative links are made between Religious Education (RE), Christian Values and Collective Worship which contribute to the pupils knowledge, understanding and spiritual development.
  • Behaviour is exemplary, teaching is inspirational and pupils achieve well because each person is valued, understood and enabled to live life in all its fullness.
  • The local church and school work respectfully and effectively together which strengthens social and spiritual support in this local community.
